The National Wax Museum

The National Wax Museum Plus offers a museum experience unlike any other, whether you are young or old, a culture vulture or fun seeker, male or female, star struck or star studded, The National Wax Museum Plus is the ultimate entertainment experience for all.

This newly located and reinvented museum is a fun and interactive experience for all ages. The attraction gives an overview of Irish history through the ages from the Bronze Age up to present day Ireland, and every important era in between. Those with a nervous disposition watch out for the terrifying Chambers of Horror where visitors are sure to get a scare! Learn about everything from how the body works to how the solar system works in the Science & Discovery Zone.  Hang among the giants of Irish literature in a themed writers room overlooking the Spire, transport yourself to Craggy Island in our authentic Father Ted roon and of course, get up close and personal to Waxworks of the biggest stars in the world for amazing photo ops. There's even something for the little ones as they can meet all the biggest children's characters in the Kids Zone and everyone can experience an awesome Virtual Reality adventure along the way.

As indicated by the PLUS in the name, this brand new Wax Museum Plus offers much more to explore and experience, such as:

  • The new augmented reality app, Wax Magic, where wax figures come to life and tell visitors their story from their own lips.
  • Wax Hands where visitors can make a mould of their own hands in wax.
  • 3D Scanning where you can scan yourself and print your own bust in silicone, sandstone or of course, wax.
