This quirky museum is located on beautiful St. Stephens Green, just four buildings down from Dublin’s historic Shelbourne hotel and only 15 minutes from the BEST WESTERN Dublin Skylon Hotel (Click here for directions)The Little Museum tells the remarkable story of Dublin in the 20th Century. The museum was launched in 2011 with a public appeal for historic objects. The response to that appeal illustrates the generosity of the Irish people: today there are over 5,000 artefacts in the collection.
The amusing and fantastically acted guides start every hour on the hour and will give the visitors a clear and fun picture of what is was like to live in Dublin from the 1900’s to 2000, and how our city has rapidly changed in only 100 years.
Named as “Dublin’s best museum experience” by the Irish Times, the Little Museum has been nominated for the European Museum of the Year Awards and has just been granted full charitable status.
